Stories

Upon arriving at the foot of the Aridea Desert, vast mounds of sand and dust greeted the clan.

Upon arriving at the foot of the Aridea Desert, vast mounds of sand and dust greeted the clan. "Umm..." A twitching right eye from Sonarra and she continued with a seemingly sarcastic tone, "Quite a view..." The sand dunes didn't escape Risan's watchful eye. "Shaia's field." He declared in his thoughts.

Silence flooded the area, unless if one considers the gushing wind as another form of noise. Unfortunately, Blaire doesn't seem to agree, and so she had to break the silence; an escape from the sun. "Shouldn't we be moving?" She asked. "Let's go." The leader commanded. They headed forward.

Inside Ebony's lair, someone's feeling uneasy.

"Shaia, stop it, you're making me feel sick." Kezriel brought her to a stop with just that simple sentence. Shaia sat down, then she stood up again and looked through a glass window. She's still feeling uneasy. Kezriel rolled his eyes, "Which side are you on?" "What kind of question is that?" A slightly irritated reply from Shaia. "If you're on still on our side, then why are you feeling bothered like this?" Shaia looked away from him as an act of ignoring him. "In 3 weeks, you've changed a lot. I don't recall the last moment when you felt distressed like this. Not even close." "Kez..." She placed her index finger between her lips, her thumb placed on her lower chin; an image of a distressed person between doubt and fear.

Jed's scene was quite different. "I don't think we should place the ninjas there. That area is surrounded by water; our ninjas will need to use fire attacks and--" Tyrell was interrupted. "We don't even have to use fire! We can just send the water elemental hunters instead!" Jed argued in a sense-ful manner. "The hunters aren't powerful enough to deliver the blows needed to stop the clan!" "No, they're good enough! We'll depend on strategy instead of power." "70% of planned strategies fail." Tyrell told him. "We don't base our success in the percentage of luck. All we need is this!" Jed points his head as to give emphasis on his statement. Tyrell raised his hands, letting the pencil on his right hand fly across the table, "*Sigh*I give up. You're so hard to talk to." He walked out from the room. Jed frowned with crossed eyebrows.

Meanwhile, the clan is still walking across the desert with seemingly similar dunes, which make it hard to track the original path. Xene knelt down--"Ugh". Sonarra felt very weak, too. "Can't we just use the airship instead?" "The enemies will strike it if we did." Risan explained. "The enemies will strike US if don't. And we'd be too weak to fight them by then." Sonarra pouted. They continued walking somehow.

While for them that walk is torturous enough, Blaire stepped on a quicksand, immediately triggering a larger field of effect of the quicksand and affecting Risan, Xene, and Sonarra as well. The girls panicked, while Risan thought of a way, although it was an experiment. "Slowly lift your right leg." He ordered. They were still in doubt, "What?" "Just do what I said!" "But that's a little too hard..." Xene meekly said. Sonarra then added, "What even made you think of that idea, Risan?!" "I read it on K-zone, now shut up and do as you were told!" Blaire was still in doubt and asked, "Are you even sure of this?" Risan closed his eyes in annoyance then shouted, "I don't know! This is the first time I'm ever going to try it out, okay?! Besides, this is still just a dream, right? So even if that's not true, it would still be safe here. Now raise your left leg or I'll fire all'v'ya!"

They had to believe in the leader's words anyway so they had to obey, or they'll get fired!

The fact was proven and it's a success.
