lalalaaaaa♪ Frhaine is happy

Good day, everyone!

I have recently completed my first commission, and may I say that it's a brilliant SUCCESS!!!

I commissioned :iconnekokirara: through TinierMe, where she is better known as Eleven. I drew her dark OC, Zuk, in Chibi and Normal style. I'll have to say this: Those were, by far, the most challenging pieces I've worked on since I started learning how to draw seriously when I was 11 years old, and it was one of the pieces that I picked up lots of knowledge from.

I love her dark OC's color scheme. It's dark with hints of playfulness in it. The gradient of dark to light purple works greatly with contrasting bright backgrounds. It's really an awesome thing to keep in mind--color scheming.

This one I had a lot of fun working with. I get to try to blush the cheeks. I like how I made the pose quirky because poses are one of the elements that push me to work. I like weird, floaty poses! :XD: I also got to create my own creature...a Batterfly! It's a cross between a bat and a butterfly, which I thought of because she said we're allowed to draw bats or butterflies around her. (Since I can't choose between bats and butterflies. They're both awesome!)

This killed my brain cells, seriously. I tried working on it for 2 weeks because I lose perseverance after multiple TinierMe events, (which I had to attend to because I have to log in some of my friends while they're away, and I had to make sure that I get EVERY event item I could get so my friends wouldn't miss anything.)
Yeah...I kinda procrastinated on it because I kept getting back aches from working on it. (Because our stupid monitor mirrors my image, so I can't see the colors properly.


She gave me the items that I wanted as payment, and more! She gave me bonuses! Like the other Patissier Girl (yellow), and three Sating Hairbands instead of just two! She even gave me a Beauty Dress (pink), and just a while ago, she gave me a Fiddler Cat with Tie, which is an animated item, and never in my dreams have I thought of getting that, since it's GC!

I therefore conclude that my first commission is a gigantic SUCCESS!!!

I'm so proud of this because I accepted the use of the almighty PEN TOOL to fill in most of the colors! YAY!!!

Cake research +Sweet Dreams Cafe (TM Group)

I know I love cakes but I never imagined that I would one day research about them...

I had to do the research for the TM group I'm trying to build up. It's called "Sweet Dreams Cafe", based on DiWA Hermetic's notable cafe which was spearheaded by Shaia and her clan mates.

The said cafe started humbly, selling cupcakes, tea, coffee, and during hot weather, they serve cold desserts like rare ice cream and halo-halo, among others. The cafe grew popular after earning loyal customers who passed on the uniqueness of the cafe to their friends, but what makes this cafe stand out is their live band, composed of the clan members themselves.

Sweet Dreams Cafe original staff:
Shaia- Patissier, interior and exterior design, logo and misc. designs, food design, band performer (woodwind instruments, songwriter)
Deina- Waitress, live band performer (vocalist, songwriter), assistant patisserie, beverage designer,
Blaire- Mascot, promo girl, cashier, live band performer (bass guitar, drums)
Raei- Live band performer (vocalist, violinist, back-up vocals for Deina, songwriter), waitress, cashier
Xene- Live band performer (cello, drums, back-up vocals for Deina and Raei, composer,), promo girl
Risan- Live band performer (vocalist, guitar, piano, songwriter, composer), production, stage design, band choreographer

Their live bands are split into Risan's and Deina's groups.

Err, are sick students allowed to go absent in college even if they have a report on the following day?

Because I'm so sick right now... I think it's the bronchial asthma from before, but I thought that was cured already. Right now, it's so hard to breathe-- There's something on my larynx and/or trachea (shit, I sound so dorky, glad I'm not saying this irl!), it's just so hard to breathe, you know?

I could hardly sleep last night because I kept coughing my lungs off. I fell asleep at 1:30 am, and woke up at around 6:00. Not much rest, and I couldn't get back to sleep after that. I tried every position possible without hurting myself. Unfortunately, no luck.

I never told anyone in my class about my allergic rhinitis, and I never told anyone about bronchial asthma because I thought it's out of my system.

This morning, I had to nebulize again, and it helped me breathe better, but after an hour, it's hard to breathe again. I can't walk properly, either.

I FEEL SO IMBA rofl. And I kinda of walk like a tyrannosaurus rex.

I hate getting sick. When I'm sick, my parents worry... I hate that. :( I hope I get well soon...(or maybe not, cuz I don't wanna report on GT 123 yet.)

I'm so glad I'm not on the stupid mass dance, cuz if I were a part of it, I'd get worse. But I wish all of the PE teachers in TUP Manila will die soon because they won't agree with taekwondo. THOSE BITCHES.

LECHE FLANning :D
Today, we made LECHE FLAN!!! It's my first time to see and make one, so I was very enthusiastic about it. I also learned how to separate the egg white from the yolk! xD


(Take note that I don't cook, mom never trusted me with cook work, and so therefore, NO EXPERIENCE. Yes, I'm a lame person, I know very much.)


We didn't have vanilla extract, so we used the banana extract we use for arnibal drink :3

waaah I made some mistakes but I'm glad it turned out fine in the end!

We realized that the mixture on the procedure was for 3-5 servings (that is, per llanera (whatever the spelling is) ) and since we only have 2 of those oval-shaped container thingies, we had too much excess. It's kind of sad because the caramel hardens too quickly, especially because it was poured thinly on the containers.

Anyway...

As for the result...

The flan is a SUCCESS!!!
It's better than our normal leche flan, prolly due to the banana extract we used. It's so yummeh that I didn't care if I had a stupid hard cough. We didn't have leche flan for Christmas, New Year, and my birthday, so this time, I'll definitely sink my teeth into the flan we made!

I seriously did not plan on submitting this here, so I didn't make a separate watermark... But I submitted it anyway... This image isn't complete, as it lacks a background and other details.

I also learned that I should NEVER USE POSTER PAINTs on my picture because they SUCK, just like what they did to my pot/vase project for Color Rendering, the colors changed after being exposed to [polluted] air and varnish. The real color of her hair now is FUGLY YELLOWISH, grrr... This might be the last time I'd traditionally color a character with white hair. :|

Top left to right: Raei's spirit band is an anklet, Xene's element band is a thigh ring
Bottom left to right: Blaire's element band is a choker, Shaia's spirit band is an armlet

These are called Element/ Spirit Bands. They come in different forms, such as anklet, thigh rings, metal choker, armlet/arm band, rings, bracelets, earrings, etc... Each band bears the symbol of their God's/Goddess' element. (i.e. Shaia's armlet is the leaf of Theraxia, her birthplace, belonging to Thera, their mother goddess who bestowed Shaia her Spirit Guide contract.)

Only Spirit Guides can have these. These bands grant the elemental powers and appearance of the Spirit Guides. If a Spirit Guide loses contact with her elemental band, her true (human) appearance will appear and she won't be able to use elemental powers.
